Andrew entered the dairy industry with trade qualifications in 1997 at the farm gate collecting milk with Murray Goulburn Co-Op [Australia] and in 2000, took an opportunity on the production floor developing knowledge and skills across many disciplines. 
Returning to studies at Melbourne University in Australia completing "Food Technology - Dairy" in 2002, Andrew enabled the progression of a career in dairy fulfilling positions including multiple Production Supervisor roles, (Powders, AMF, Cheese and Whey), Plant Manager position at Murray Goulburn Leitchville’s Cheese Factory.In 2008, Andrew accepted an opportunity in New Zealand as ‘General Manager – Operations’ with Open Country Cheese, and in 2010 became Group Projects Manager servicing OCD nationally leading all Capital development initiatives.
